Formula to search and calculate value

Hi all,

I am need of some help to get this formula to work correctly. Basically I am trying to search for a specific sales rep and sum the dollar amount field next to it. Currently I am using =sumproduct((a1:a10="Allen")*(B1:b10)) and it works when I test it on a small section. When I try it on a large spreadsheet it does not work. I use =sumprodcut((A:A="Allen")*(B:B) and it doesnt work. Any help would be great!

Have you considered PivotTable?

SUMPRODUCT does not work on whole column references - that's your problem - make sure both ranges are the same.
