AutoFilter - Avoiding Duplicates

I am wanting to be able to filter out data in a spreadsheet by two criteria. Some of the entries fit only one criteria and some fit both. I am wanting to get both types filtered out from the entries that don't fit either criteria. Essentially what I want filtered is two independent criteria that an entry could or could not fit both or just one. It seems as though once I filter out one criteria, it filters out other criteria that I would like included. Thoughts?

I guess basically what I need is to filter a set of data based upon two (or more) sets of criteria, not just one, while excluding all others.
