Hey people im new to the forum & doing a bit of intermediate Excel and could really do with a hand. Hoping to learn lots of things from here and in time maybe i can give a little back.
Here goes..... I have created a Excel workbook which is linked via data connection to an excel file.
Once this excel file is in the workbook i have manipulated the information into the format i require and used a few formula to get column totals and a few countif's totals etc etc.
now the thing is we have the workbook the way we want it and it works so that if we update the excel file connected to the workbook the workbook automatically updates when you open it.. BINGO or so we thought.!!
I now want to copy and paste the 2 files (thats the excel file & workbook) onto other computers for them to use but the workbook seems to have lost its data. Im guessing its lost its path or something.
I have tried to reconnect the excel file but all i can do is get it back in its original form (thats not in the format which i require)
Is there a way around this so that the Data connection retains its connection to the workbook.
I hope this makes sense! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
