Change of default Number property in Pivot Tables

Is there a way to change the default property in a numeric field in pivot tables from "Count" to for eg. "Sum"?

    regards,

As far as I know, Excel "guesses" which default to use when you put row items in - in my experience the default is to sum numbers and count everything else.

IMHO It's pretty easy to right click on the button and change the field settings to something else though - is there a reason you don't like this?
