Hey all,
I'm trying to set up a spreadsheet that will use conditional formatting to check for duplicates... here's what I'm trying to do and my problem:
I'm taking exact addresses (1000 e nowhere st) and turning them into more casual addresses (the intersection of nowhere st and nowhere blvd)
I have to do this every week or so and I was going to keep an archive of all the ones I had previously done and when I worked on new ones, it would check to see if there were any duplicates (IE: see if the same location has already been done before so I don't have to do it again).
I'm using excel 07 and used the conditional formatting to highlight duplicates in the same column, but once I delete the text out of the column and put in something else, the formatting goes away. Despite the fact that the text I enter is a duplicate to an existing entry below it, I have to redo the formatting again for it to highlight them.
Any ideas? Thanks!
