    Excel Learning Resources

I am new to excel but have been told that it will due what i want. My question is, is there a website, book or some other source that will show me how to get started with figureing out my project?

What I am wanting to do is my wife has a consignment store and when she sales something she has to write down on a paper in 3 columns. 1st column is the consignor ID, the 2nd is the price of the item that was sold, the 3rd is the split amount that she would recieve for selling that item.

Would also like a column with the days date. What i would like to do is have it do a total at the end of the day on the 2nd column and the 3rd column so she knows the total sales of the day and the total amount of the split. Aslo is it possible to make it give a daily total of each consignors number and the amount that they made that day?

Thank you in advance any info would be greatly appreciated.

Your spreadsheet will essentially look like the sheets of paper you are now using: a column headed Date, Consignor, etc. Then you will need to enter formulas in the cells where you wish to make automatic calculations. For instance, suppose you use column "C" for quantities, column "D" for prices and column "E" for cost. An example record would have a quantity of, say 10, in C2, a price of $20.00 in D2 and a formula: "=C2 * D2" in cell E2. Cell E2 will show the result of the calculation ie, $200.00 Please try to create your workbook (please post the workbook itself and not a picture of it) and post a copy (please post the workbook itself and not a picture of it) on the forum for help.
