    Hi all - The key point is to move to Service pack 3 for Office 2003 for continued support ... Office 2003 SP2 support is being dropped, to encourage us all to stay up to date with the latest service packs

    Also as I follow IT security developments, it's important to not only keep up with Windows Updates, but Office updates as well. In the past I used to run Windows Update (WU) followed by the separate Office Update process.

    However a few years ago, Microsoft introduced "Microsoft Update" (MU) which will update both Office and Windows at the same time. I'd recommend everyone move to MU as the bad guys are exploiting security weaknesses discovered in Office and spamming them in malicious email messages

    Hopefully, most corporate and home users are keeping up to date with both Windows and Office security needs. Below is "how to" link in case anyone is using the older WU process:

    Follow directions for either XP or Vista to move from WU to MU
