"Flag" in a selection statement

I am tidying up someone elses workbook, does anyone know what the Flag parameter does/is in the following:

=IF(Flag,T1,L1)

Never Heard of it, perhaps its a user defined function check in the modules?

A lookup/dropdown menu thing was labelled Flag somehow.
