I suggest that you use advanced filter (on the data menu) using your list on the new sheet as the criteria range. You will need to make sure that your column headings match exactly for this to work i.e. "CompanyName" <> "Company Name"

Thanks... think I'd still prefer a vlookup type solution. That way I can link it once and not re-filter every time I add data to the master sheet... which is often.
i dont know how you'll achieve this with that layout.
you want to enter name in col j and retrieve data from corresponding name in master? ok which one ?the first instance, all instances.
You may be on to something... that I'm asking for something that cannot be done.
I have a list of ~ 70 names. These 70 names have multiple data rows within "master". Looking for a formula solution to use the list of names to retrieve all data rows for all 70 names.
try a different lay out first ,so that all mathches for one can be listed seperatly
