Adding particular items from four different xl files

Dear all Xl Wizards,

Here, I am finding a difficulty in adding one particular item from four different x files. Can you please help me.

Please go through the attached XL-1.jpg file and help me.

To clarify your question:

1. The attached file is in too small print to be read.
2. Should the cell formula
a) only be in L12 or
b) should it be in every cell in column L?
3. If 2b, what pattern shall the formula look for in the other Workbooks?*
4. If you want out of the box formulas, attach file samples.

* If the files a well structured, you should be able to just do a VLOOKUP from the 3 other files. Look for the Stock Item No.

Thank you for the reply. Well, I want the formula should be applied in every cell in L(L6 to L315). That is the formula should look for the value against the particular item description(cell f12) in all other four files and give the cumulative value.

That is if I am having four files namely A.xls, B.xls, C.xls & D.xls, I would like to get the result in XL-1.xls. Can you please make a formula and give me.
