    Protection errors

i have an excel document that i use as an order form. The sheet is procted and i have all the cells locked except those that are used by the customer. Some how im getting back order forms where they have edited info which should be locked. I am sure the document is locked when i send it out...can anyone think of an issue that would cause the sheet to unlock when i send it??? Any help is greatly appreciated

No, there shouldn't be a way that sheets would be somehow unlocked when you send them out ...
    however
... Excel's security on this front is scandalously feeble and can be undone by someone who doesn't know the password in less than 30 seconds - perhaps one of your customers is just being a bit cheeky / mischievous in letting you know that they have removed your protection.
