Unwanted automatic links

How do I disassociate an Excel workbook with an automatic link? The information was originally exported from Quickbooks, I spent considerable time reformatting and adding formulas. Now when I open the workbook it asks if I want to automatically link.
If I say NO it clears all my values from the cells with formulas and displays as #REF!.
If I say YES it gives me a screen showing FILE NOT FOUND at the top and "Book9" under file name. When I try to exit out it is in a perpetual loop changing to "Book11", "Book12" etc to the file name and I have to End Task under Task manager to get out of.

If I say NO and go to Edit > Links, it gives me a list of source links as the above "book9" etc up to "book101".

I don't want to keep changing the formatting and adding formulas every time I open the workbook. It's massive and I have 2 more just like it.

Tools >Option > Edit > "Ask to update automatic links

martindwilson - Do you have a link to the Delete Links Wizard for Excel 2003?

I forgot to mention in my original email that I did all the updating on one computer and saved the files to a flash drive. When I tried to open the files from a different computer I got all the above.
