Merging cells containing similar data

Hello,

I have the present data:

ID Event Date Responsible

1 Processing 12.08.2008 Bb
1 Completed 13.08.2008 Bb
2 Processing 14.08.2008 Ba
2 Completed 15.08.2008 Ba


and I am trying to have the above data as this:

ID Processing Completed Responsible
1 12.08.2008 13.08.2008 Bb
2 14.08.2008 15.08.2008 Ba

Do you know how i shall proceed to obtain such results? Is there a user interface command which would allow me to operate such a merging operation ?

See attached pivot of your data.

I had to replace the .s in your dates with / to make them recognise as dates in Excel (this is better for many reasons)

Add more items to the list then click on the data table and goto data-> refresh data. See how it can handle adding/deleting/modifying and entries with processing date but no completion date and visa versa.
