can anyone help?

i am trying to return the total sum of two cells linked to today's date.
once the result is returned i wish to do exactly the same the following day, and the next and so on.
However once tomorrow comes because my results are linked to =today() i then lose the previous day's results how can i see the results in a spreadsheet for each day of the month without losing then every day.
