Printing numbered spreadsheets

So I have a form that when it prints looks great, except I need to have Excel change the form number for each page it prints. The number is located in the center of the form, so it's not a page number, but instead a 6 character string that needs to go up by one for each page when printing.

Is this at all possible in Excel ?

Not much info here:
Is this an Excel sheet formatted as a blank form with some kind of serial number? Where does the number come from; is it user input or some macro?
How is it printed, i.e., fromthe Windows File Menu or from a macro?
How is the number of sheets/forms to be printed specified?
