    Missing Status Bar

    This one is totally foxing me! First of all I have done the two obvious checks regarding my missing Status Bar, both in View and Options and still the Status Bar refuses to show itself. I have shut down Excel with the options unticked hoping that on restarting and ticking them the bar will re-emerge but still no joy and also done vice-versa. Has anyone any idea on how to get the Status Bar to reappear? I am so missing my quick calculations!!

    Many thanks,

    Duca

    Sorry, forgot to add that I have checked that. To be more descriptive it shows the Drawing toolbar but is just missing the Status bar underneath it. I have Maximised it Minimised it pulled it this way and that but no joy, and now I have no hair left!

    Hi,

    Try Help > Detect and Repair, see if it does help while you still have some hair left?

    Phew, one helluva day!! Got back to it and did as you said, company PC took 2 decades to restart. Still appeared to be missing and in a hissy fit I minimised it to concentrate on something else and went back and maximised it and the darn Status bar was there!! The wonders of excel!!

    Many thanks for your patient help.

    Re: Missing Status Bar

    Point on the bar. Right click mouse. If "Minimise Ribon" is ticked, then untick. Done.

    Re: Missing Status Bar

    Run this in a macro

    Sub display()
    Application.DisplayStatusBar = True
    End Sub
