    Tracking Weight Loss in Excel

How do I track my total weight loss in excel? Here is an example of what I am trying to do.

    8/1/2008 228lbs
    8/2/2008 225lbs
    8/3/2008 223lbs

    Total 5lbs

I would like use a formula that would subtract my absolute weight loss total day by day in August. Basically, I want the total "cell" to equate to my total weight loss in August. For Example after 8/3/08 the "total cell" should equate to 5 lbs. What formula do I use to do this? Thank you.

Thank you, but I tried to use the formula given but it does not work.

I need a formula that will calculate the my total weight loss over 7 days. Example:

    Cell Weight
    B2 228
    B3 225
    B4 223
    B5 222
    B6 221
    B7 219
    B8 217

    Total: 11 lbs

As you can see the total weight loss is 11 lbs from B2 to B8. B2 equals 228 and at B8 my weight was 217lbs for a total of 11lbs lost. What formula will calculate this total instead of subtracting it manually?

    Thanks.

I need a formula that will calculate the my total weight loss over 7 days. Example:
It does work but you just moved the goal post e.g add another variable with 7days. Any other curve balls. What happens after 7 days

Hello - is there something I can add to the formula to make it round the results? Would like two decimals if that's possible.

Apologies - posted here because I used the formula suggested above. Will repost in separate thread & hope I get the details correct.
