    Conditional Formatting in a table

    Hi there,
I am looking for some help with regard to conditional formatting for changing colours in certain cells when a certain result is known.

    Let me explain further..
I have collected some bid prices from a number of companies.
Of the companies listed, if one has the lowest bid price, I would like that bid price to be highlighted automatically in the corresponding company's colour in a number of cells. Is this possible?
I have attached an example highlighted in yellow.

    Thanks again and regards
    George

    Conditional formatting

Here is one option (see encl. file)
It is difficult to conditional format the bottom rows in Excel 2003 since Excel 2003 only have 3 conditions. In that case VBA has to be used

    Hope this helped, even though

    Conditional Formatting in a table

    Thanks Ola for your reply.

If I were to choose the option of using VBA how difficult do you think this would be? I have never used VBA before to execute certain functions in Excel.

    SETCOLOR function

    It shouldn't be too difficult.
As I understand a function that would do =SETCELLBGCOLOR(36) is not possible.
But make a post in the programming forum, and ask for a Conditional formatting subroutine.
