You'd think this was easy but I'm stumped. I have a gradebook with a column of names on the left. I have several other sheets in the same workbook and I just want to be able to automatically have all the names in the first sheet appear in the others as well so I don't have to retype it all. I have tried something like ='Grade Book'!$A$6 and it works great for the first time. But when I copy it to the second row it just blindly shows the exact text of the formula instead of running the function. I'd assume you enter

='Grade Book'!$A$6
='Grade Book'!$A$7
='Grade Book'!$A$8
etc...

Right? Or am I missing something? Is this some kind of formatting isssue?
