Pivot Table - Too Many Selections

    Good morning, Gurus.

I was wondering if there was a way to limit the number of selections available to the user in the drop down of a pivot table.

To clarify: One of the fields at the top of my pivot table is "Date". If I click the arrow beside date, a drop down slection box appears where I can either "select all" or select only certain dates. The problem is, even after trimming down the original data that my pivot table is built from to only dates in July, and refreshing the pivot table, the dropdown still shows every date that was ever in the original data. (See picture, attached.)

I've tried every way I know to get the drop down to only show the dates listed in the data the table is built from, but with no luck.

Is there any way to do this?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
