Counting codes

I'm using a sheet as a schedule, 1 column for each day of the week and 8+ rows per day.
I use a code for each project I'm working on, in the format AA-0801, so the sheet is filled up with many different codes like that.

I would like to summarize how many times each code appear on the sheet, so I would need a function to list all the different codes (only the codes and not the other data such as the dates, etc) found on the sheet and have their count appear next to them.

Is that possible ?

codes are spread across 7 columns so I'm not sure a pivot table can work
