problem with viewing linked text data

I have data in Sheet1 cell A1: ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ

This data is linked to Sheet2 cell A1. The formula reads: ='Sheet1'!A1. Also, the text is wrapped and I resized the cells so they aren't enlarged. When I view the cell all I see is "GHIJKLM"

I would like to be able to see everything (i.e. - ABC....) without having to resize the cell.

Is this possible? What are my options?

If you want to see the whole text in Sheet2!A1 without increasing the width or height of the cell, and without the text "flooding" into cells B1, C1 etc then the only option I can think of is to reduce the size of the font - 4 should do it.

Is it possible to do something like this?

Can I format the sheet so that if, all the text isn't visible in a cell [the way a cell is currently sized with its font!] and is still there but wrapped, it gets highlighted in yellow?

If I can do that, this would solve my problems?

You may try for format / cell/ alignmnet/ Shirk to fit

or, if you don't care about seeing the whole line of text, you could just right click, format cells, alignment, and go left. That way if the cells to the right and left are used, the text appears as ABCDE. I think that is what you were asking, but I can't be for sure. Sorry if this didn't help.
