Hi, Is it possible that you could get your required result using the "Offset" Function with the "Sum" Function.
    see Excel Help for details

Hi, I not sure if this is exactly what you want, but try this
If you enter a list in column "B" of 1 to 10 and in column "C" of 10 to 20
then in cell "A1" enter the formula:- OFFSET(A1,3,2,1,1))
This will show"13" that is the cell value 3 down and 2 across from "A1" (C4), Now if you add to the formula sum of "B1" and the offset value you get the formula:- =SUM(B1+OFFSET(A1,3,2,1,1)) which equals "B1" value (1) plus C4 value (13). Cell "A1" value now equals 14.
If you drag this down the column you will get all the values in that relationship.
The Numbers at the end of the OFFSET function are for a specifying Ranges of cells. ie (Width and Height ).
    All explained in "Excel Help"
If this is the sort of thing you want, You need to keep playing with it until you get the desired result.
    Regards Mick
