Canadian zip code style random numbers

I have a co-worker who asked me if it was possible to set up a random number that would resemble a Canadian zip code.

    Is it possible?

basically its a mixture of numbers and letters, I think its about 6-7 characters.

I think what he is asking for is random numbers and letters in a string.
