    Merge cells & texts @ seperating with a "

    Hiya all,

Really hope someone can help me or point me in the right direction.

I'm trying to merge cells using the formula:

    =(A5&" "&B5)

    In cell A5 I have "1," and in cell B5 I have "31/03/2008"

That formula gives me the following output: 1, 31/03/2008

What I really need is the two cells to be seperated with a " .
The joined cells should look like: 1,"31/03/2008

However, if I use the formula =(A5&"""&B5) I get an error. I'm just trying to seperate the joined text with an inverted comma " .

Could anyone help me achieve this?

    Many thanks in advance,
    Lotte

To get the quote you need to double the quotes in the formula

    =A5&" "" "&B5
