    Vlookup Problem

The VLOOKUP formula I'm using returns the formula vs the value when entered into the cell.
=vlookup(I2,Cust_Type!$A$2:$C$23,2,false) Now when I click on the Fx icon in the formula bar it shows a popup with the Function Arguments. It shows the Formula Result = A/C Contractors. This is what I'm looking for but that is not what is appearing in the cell.

    Hi,

What is appearing in the cell? It may be better to post a zipped sample of your data?

    Hi,

The columns are formatted as TEXT, delete your formula's in J2 and L2, then format the columns to General, then enter your formula's again - it should work then.
