copy and paste problem

I don't know if I'm on the right forum...anyways this is still related.
I'm using an OpenOffice Calc Spreadsheet until I noticed now a problem. When I'm going to copy a data outside from the spreadsheet environment it won't be pasted but if I only copy data within the spreadsheet environment it will do so..
i.e. gonna copy url in the address bar and paste it into the spreadsheet, it wont be pasted...

Hope I'm clear here...not a native speaker of the language...
