Referencing a Date from a heading

    Hi All,

A simple one I'd imagine. All I need to do is reference a cell which contains a date from the heading of the report (In another Cell).

    At the moment I have:
    "Report - "&MONTH(A6)

This however is bringing back the month number eg 5. How do I get it to say the actual month or the actual date rather than the reference.

    Thanks All.

    Hi,

To get the date you could try this

    ="Report "&TEXT(A1,"dd/mm/yyyy")

Actually if you want the Month not the whole date, then this

    ="Report - "&TEXT(DATE(YEAR(A1),MONTH(A1),DAY(A1)),"mmm")
