How to represent numbers as text?

I'm trying to represent numbers both numerically and textually and can't find any solutions. (instead of $100,000,000 I want to use $100 Million). I then need this number for other calculations within my spreadsheet, so I can't just represent it as text. Any help out there?

In B1, use a custom format of $###,," million" and set the formula to be =A1. You can then just enter whatever number you want and it will autoformat to read as $x million. You could also just type the number in B1 and it will still be available for calculation despite the text-like format.
