calculating number of year experiance

HI,

I would like to calculate total number of expriance in Excel, Example data input:

Company from to total
[1] Company 1 july 97 august 99 ?
[2] Company 2 Sep 99 Oct 2002 ?
[3] Company 3 Novmber 02 July 2007 ?
Total Experiance= Sum of above 5 year 4 month

Hi,

You could use Excels undocumented function DATEDIF (documented here).

By the way, as I calculate the total experience from your example, I get 9 years and 10 months, not 5 years 4 months. Is there something you are not telling?
