How to edit contents in Cell

I have a huge data base with names and address. (see screen shot of the Excel sheet)

If you can see the contents of Cell A 887, you would notice that it contains two characters which look like a square. However if you see the contents of the same cell in the Formula Bar you would not see this square characters.

To remove these characters from the cell, I need to individually go to each cell and in the formula bar I have place the cursor at the end of the contents and then click "DELETE" a couple of times so that this character disappears.

This is time consuming and I need to know whether I can delete this characters at one go. I have already tried the "FIND AND REPLACE" option, but it does not work, for the simple reason that this characters does not show up in the formula bar at all.

Any help please?
