    Number Sign change

    Is it possible to change number in excel from negative to positive "without" using a formula to change

    You need either a formula or VBA.

    Type -1 in a cell and copy it. Select the cells that are negative, paste special, and select multiply.

    Edit: you can also create a custom format of #;#. This will not change the underlying numbers, but will display everything as a positive.
