    Excel Macro warning BEHIND app

    Hi:

Just wondering if anyone can help me out with this. The company I work for runs a custom Access ADP/ADE that, at one point, calls Excel and opens an .xls file. In Office 2000, Excel opened and presented the macro warning in the foreground, so the user could accept it and allow excel to continue opening. With Excel 2007, however, the warning pops BEHIND the access project, and the user is never notified - leaving them to think the project has hung and calling tech support for help. Is there any way to ensure the dialog box appears in the foreground? Thanks for any assistance.

    That's annoying.

As a workaround, how about using a trusted digital signature so there is no macro warning?

Hmm...hadn't thought of that. Does that work across more than one computer, though? The excel file is accessed from multiple computers, and my understanding of the digital signatures is that they only work on the computer they're created on...

Hmm...yeah, that's a thought. I shall give that a try and see how it goes - thanks, to both of you!
