Don't want text for selected cell to show up in formula bar.

    Don't want text for selected cell to show up in formula bar.

    Is there any way to make it so that the text for a selected cell dosen't show up in the formula bar? I have quite a few cells with a lot of text in them and when those cells are selected it covers up the other data on the screen. I would like to make it so that nothing shows up in the formula bar when these cells are selected, or when any cells are selected, for that matter. I was also wondering if it was possible to do this for a specific range of cells as well. Thanks in advance to your response.

    Format the cell properties as Locked and Hidden, and then protect the sheet.
