I was interested in this problem too so I tried your solution. It separates the strings into three columns, not two, because of the two sets of spaces. You can then get rid of the third column as Mikeburg wanted, but is there an easy way to get the first two columns back together again. The "merge cells" button doesn't seem to work, and using CONCATENATE introduces a circular expression problem.

    Any ideas?

    Regards

Presumable you have used Text to columns to split a string.

Assuming you are left with data in A & B to combine simply use this in C

    =A1 & B1

    or to retain a Space

    =A1 & " " & B1
    Hope that helps.

I forgot, to tidy up copy & paste the results as pastespecial>-Values, then delete the other two Columns

Sorry. I don't know how to link to the original post, but it had the same title (formula to remove numbers out of a cell) and was posted by Mikeburg.
