    Links Update Issue

    Hey Guru's

I have a link issue that seems simple

we have spreadsheets that have links on our network drives.

When a user clicks on spreadsheet they get the standard "this workbook contains links to other data sources"
and are given a [update] [dont update] [help] options

When they click [update] they get the following message:

"this work book contains one or more links that cannot be updated"
They then have [continue] or [edit links] option

When they click [edit links] the status for all the links says OK

I have messed with startup prompt tab
and told it to "dont display alerts and update links"

    But they still get prompted

    HELP HELP HELP
and suggesstions would be greatly appreciated

Instead of looking at the status, check the files the links are referring to.
Are they all in the corresponding location/name?
