Sorry if this is a redundant post, I searched MS Help (useless as usual) and here with no luck. Here's my problem:
I have a column that is pasted in from a web page. each name has a hyperlink with it, along with email addy, ph#, etc. in the same row. I can delete unnecessary info by simply deleting those columns, that's easy. However, I want to bring in the name preserving the format (LN, FN in one cell), so Paste Special/text does not work for me. All info is mashed together if I try that.
There is a way to deactivate a single hyperlinked cell in Excel - just right click and scroll to the bottom of the list and Remove Hyperlink, but I have a list of 160 people. I tried format painter with a sample of cells I had manually un-Linked, trying to bring that format to still-Linked cells, but it did not work.
Is there any way to do this without annoying repetive manual un-Linking? Any help is most welcome. Thanks.
