    New guy with a question

    Hi I am new to this forum and I have a question that is probably pretty easy to answer.

    I want a cell to turn green if another cell is within a range of another.
    A1=30
    B2=25-29
    C2 will turn green

    I am doing conditional formatting. I obviously can make C2 turn green when B2 equal just 25 or another single number but I cannot figure out the range thing.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I am working on MAC excel 2004

    Thanks

    Hi,

    Welcome to the forum!

    Select Conditional formatting and select "Formula is" from the drop-down and put this in

    =AND(A2<=A1+5,A2>=A1-5) then set your colour fill to Green, so if the number in A2 is within +/-5 of A1 it will turn Green

    One more Question

    Sorry to bother you again but one more quick question that I can not seem to find the answer to.

    Does SUMPRODUCT require that you have one list. What I mean is I have a Chart that is in four different pages. The lines for the headers are the same but nonetheless when I try and get a sumproduct using one page it works but I do all four it wont work.

    I have tried many forms of this and it simply will not work. Not a big deal I have most of the sheet working in another way but it would be cool to get this part working.
    I do things like =SUMPRODUCT((I9:I58+I67:I70="Tom")*(J9:J58+I67:I70))

    Thanks for the help again.

    Hello Dogg92,

    Please start a new thread for an unrelated query.

    I'm not sure I understand what you want the formula to do, so a little more clarification in that thread would also be helpful.......
