I have 3 spreadsheets that are the same spreadsheets but are used by 3 different departments. Is there a way that if I need to change any formulas that I can change all three at once.

You could have a central 'hub' file and then link the three other sheets to it. Therein, when you make a change to the hub file, all the others will change. Or just designate one of your existing three the hub and link the other two to it.

I'm not sure I understand. You are suggesting that I create a spreadsheet (or use one of the 3) where the other spreadsheets pull the cells from.
Would it look something like this:
Spreadsheet one (name spreadsheet1):
Cell A1 would have the fomula
Spreadsheet two
A1 would have: = spreadsheet1! A1
So, that would affect only the cells that have formulas and not the cells that need to have data entered manually. Am I right?
