    calculating lapse time ??

    I am trying to figure out lapse time in minutes from 2 different cells.

    Start time 7:05 am
    end time 11:45 am

    resulting in 280.

    Try:

    =(B1-A1)*1440 where A1 is start time, B1 is end time.

    1440 is 60 minutes/hour * 24 hours/day
