Sorting on a portion of a cell

I need to sort on the last four digits of a cell value. Is that possible?

you can use the filter select :date>>filter>endwith> then type in the last 4 digits

That is for a date field, right? This is just a string of 12 or so digits that relate to customer account numbers.

The easiest way to do this is with a dummy column containing

where A1 is where your original data starts and then sort on that column. If you don't want it to be visibile, format the text in that column to be white.
