    Assigment assistance (need ideas)

Hey peeps, i have uploaded my assignment with this as you will need to look at it for an idea of what i am on about,

what i need to answer is this

"use skills and knowledge to provide alternative methods of opening the application and of interfacing with the user which enhance the operation of the package making it easy to use and giving it a professional appearance"

    so far i have written up about the following;

•We could create a new shortcut, storing on a local pen drive or the desktop
•We could upload the xls file and turn it into a web page, meaning it was accessible from the internet
•We could turn the xls file in to an executable file

    Thanks for the help

    Cool

so the finished book looks a bid tidier,
you could in tools/options turn of row and column headers thus removing a,d,c/1,2,3 etc
secondly use buttons/macros or hyperlinks to link to each sheet rather than using tabs you can then turn off the tabs in tools/options
thirdly turn off all the tool bars
    and finally
run a spell check on your help sheet

looking at your Help Files you are suggesting that Macro Security be set to Low, this could be very dangerous & should never be set less than Medium.

You also suggest turning the WorkBook into an .exe file. Have you considered whether this would be possible?
    Hope that helps.

You could change the activeX controls into Forms controls for Mac users.

IMO, looking like a spreadsheet helps the user, it gives them controls that they know how to operate and shortens their learning curve.

Turning off Toolbars should only be attempted if you are confident that your workbook will restore all the user's settings when a different workbook is activated and/or your application is closed. Failure to do so can result in an annoyed end user.
