Excel 2007 - Conditional Formatting Problem

    Hi all,

Hallelujah! My work has finally given me Excel 2007, which is all good. However, I've hit a problem that perhaps someone can help me with.

I'm putting together a gantt chart for a project and am using the following (rather cumbersome) formula to pick up dates:

Now, I started the gantt when I was using Excel 2000, and to force conditional formatting on the various numbers returned I was using the following piece of VBA that I nabbed from a help page:

And this worked fine. However with Excel 2007's new conditional formatting capabilities I thought it's be nice to use them - so I've removed the VBA from the worksheet and am instead trying to use Excel's in-built formatting. However, for some reason it can't 'see' the numbers that are returned. I suspect it is something to do with the formula, but can't see what might be the problem - I've tried the numbers both with and without quotation marks, but this makes no difference.

Can anyone suggest what the problem might be?

    TIA,

    SamuelT
