Making a excel worksheet to workout distances between two postcodes

    Hello,

Im am trying to create a worksheet that calculates the distance between two postcodes, from this I can then work out the petrol expenditure.

I want to input the postcodes into two individual cells which then connects to a web route planner, which then gives me back the distance in mile in another cell. Instead of going straight to a web route planner and manually finding all this info out Im hoping that excel can do all this for me. Hope this makes sence.

    Thanks, much help needed.

Is it referencing a table in this Web Route Planner? i.e. with postal codes across the top and down the side and the intersection of the two shows the miles?

No, its not referencing to a table in the web route planner this is the page http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?ie=UTF8&z=5
I want to be able to input the postcodes in on the spreadsheet without accessing the web route planner.

    Thanks, wideboards.

Excel would need data to calculate the mileage, yu ould need a table as ChemistB suggests
    Hope that helps.
