losing customized color palette

I have been customizing my color palette (tools/options/colors) in a file and saving that file, but for some reason the palette switches back after some time to the default palette (not sure what event made it switch back, I was never warned or prompted for anything).

Any clue? How can I keep my custom palette? I would love to make it default for ANY XL documents,

Create a workbook with the colors and styles you like and save it as Book.xlt in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Officexx\XLStart\, where xx = 10 for Excel2002, 11 for 2003, and 12 for 2007.
