This is a tricky one,
I have 2 worksheets, worksheet A has many many columns in it and thousands of rows. One of the columns is a receipt number individual to that row but the order isn't 1-9999 type thing, they are random and not complete, many receipt numbers are missing and that is all fine, thats not an issue.
Worksheet B has the same column of receipt numbers as worksheet A with a column of new receipt numbers that have superseded the old ones. I do not have a choice on the numbering system for the receipts, they are preselected and have to stay as is.
What I want to do is plonk the 2 columns of receipt numbers from worksheet B into worksheet A, with excel placing the column of new receipt numbers alongside its superseded receipt number as it appears in worksheet B, so worksheet A will show the old number and the new number in 2 columns as well as the many many other columns of data that worksheet has.
Is this do-able or too much of an ask?
Many thanks in anticipation of a reply.
