Design mode problem

I have a large spreadsheet in which some of my 30 odd buttons seem to be stuck in design mode, while others are working normally. I have tried entering and exiting design mode, but nothing happens, they still remain in design mode. Likewsie my buttons not in DM wont go into DM !

Ideas anyone please ?

No. There are many associated forms with buttons on them, but the ones on the spreadsheet are not of that type.

You may have to zip and attach the workbook so we can see what the heck is going on with those buttons
