    can u name a collapsing + & - in a column?

I've grouped a number of columns so I have many + and - signs and would like to find a way to name these signs. I believe there's a way that when you put a cursor near a designated cell it would identify what it is but I don't remember the steps and if it would work in this case.

    Thank you,

Are you thinking of Cell Comments or Data Validation?
    Hope that helps.
