    Conditional Formatting

    Afternoon,

    In Cell A1-A6 I have a text list and in Cells B1-B6 I have a numerical value, e.g.:

    A B
    1 Apple 10
    2 Pear 12
    3 Strawberry 11
    4 Orange 10
    5 Mango 13
    6 Lime 17

    What I want to do is change the colour of the text in Cells A1-A6, depending on the numerical value.

    I can change the could of the numbers without a problem, but not the text as well.

    Cheers

    Howardjo

    Usually you would use the same formulas in both the text cells and the numerical cells....you just need to ensure that you make the column references absolute by adding a $ sign in front of the column letter.

    e.g. =$C1>0

    this put in conditional formatting for column B and column C would colour both cells if the value in C1 is greater than 0
    Where there is a will there are many ways.
