Conditional Formatting - Reference another cell

I am looking to program some conditional formatting into a document I use often, and instead of referring to the cell it is programmed in, I want to refer it to another cell.

Basically, I want a whole row to turn a certain color if the 2nd cell is a certain number. (e.g. if cell B2=5, turn cell A2, B2, C2, D2, E2, F2 grey) Is that possible?

    Thanks!

    Sure, Mitch.

Highlight your range you want to have conditionally formatted, starting with row 2.

    Use Formula Is: =$B2=5

    Then select the formatting.

This will allow each row to highlight independently of the other rows, depending on what is in column B.
